Kuliah ini disampaikan oleh Assoc. Prof. dr. Rizki Edmi Edison, Ph.D, seorang pakar neurosains dari Neuroscience Institute \u2013 Universitas Prima Indonesia sekaligus Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement \u2013 Universiti Brunei Darussalam, yang dalam kesempatan tersebut menekankan pentingnya memahami bagaimana proses neural berhubungan erat dengan dinamika psikologi pendidikan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dalam pemaparannya, Dr. Rizki Edmi menjelaskan bahwa psikologi pendidikan berusaha memahami bagaimana individu belajar, berpikir, dan berkembang dalam berbagai konteks. Sementara itu, perkembangan neurosains telah memperkaya pemahaman psikologi, khususnya mengenai bagaimana otak mengatur koordinasi gerakan, bahasa, hingga proses berpikir yang kompleks. Ia meluruskan salah kaprah populer mengenai \u201cotak kiri dominan atau otak kanan dominan\u201d yang selama ini banyak beredar dengan menegaskan bahwa konsep tersebut adalah hoax.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDominasi otak kiri atau kanan hanyalah mitos. Faktanya, kedua belahan otak selalu bekerja secara terintegrasi,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> tegasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Menariknya, kuliah ini juga menyinggung respons dasar manusia seperti <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fight or flight<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> yang masih relevan hingga kini, serta bagaimana komunikasi digital, misalnya lewat WhatsApp, seringkali hanya menampilkan aspek verbal, padahal otak kanan dan kiri sejatinya saling bekerja dalam memahami makna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Topik lain yang mendapat perhatian besar adalah fenomena <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cognitive death<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> akibat penggunaan AI yang berlebihan. Menurut Dr. Rizki, otak manusia berpotensi kehilangan kedalaman berpikir apabila seluruh proses belajar digantikan oleh kecerdasan buatan. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi mahasiswa untuk tetap melatih keterampilan kognitif, termasuk dengan teknik belajar yang efektif. Ia menekankan, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cTanda kita paham adalah bisa menyederhanakan kalimat.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Rizki juga menyinggung keterkaitan erat antara memori dan emosi. Menurutnya, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSesuatu bisa lebih mudah diingat ketika ada emosi di dalamnya.\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Hal ini sekaligus menegaskan perbedaan mendasar antara manusia dan kecerdasan buatan, karena AI tidak melibatkan emosi dalam prosesnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Suasana kuliah semakin hidup dengan keaktifan partisipasi mahasiswa. Audiens tampak sangat tertarik, aktif mengajukan pertanyaan, dan menunjukkan rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi terhadap topik yang dibahas. Antusiasme terlihat dari bagaimana mahasiswa berdiskusi mengenai fenomena <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fight or flight<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, penggunaan AI yang berlebihan hingga memunculkan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cognitive death<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, serta strategi belajar efektif seperti <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pomodoro technique<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Feynman technique<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, dan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">time blocking<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Narasumber pun dengan sabar menanggapi setiap pertanyaan sehingga tercipta interaksi dua arah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selain diskusi, banyak mahasiswa mengungkapkan rasa kagum sekaligus mendapatkan motivasi baru setelah mendengar langsung pemaparan dari pakar yang telah berpengalaman di kancah internasional. Beberapa di antaranya bahkan menyampaikan bahwa kesempatan ini memberikan perspektif berbeda tentang bagaimana ilmu psikologi dapat dipadukan dengan neurosains untuk memahami manusia..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kuliah praktisi ini memberikan pemahaman bahwa proses belajar bukan hanya soal transfer pengetahuan, melainkan juga interaksi kompleks antara otak, emosi, dan pengalaman. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat semakin memahami pentingnya menerapkan strategi belajar yang tepat serta menyadari bagaimana pendidikan berkontribusi dalam membentuk struktur neural
